Profile

My career has been one long experiment, marked by launching events, websites, brands, and businesses for myself. My first personal brand website was launched in 1999, while I was on the Career Ladder.

For others, I earned a living advising global brands, winning awards for digital innovation, and training over 5,000 professionals in digital business. Those experiments taught me that the traditional Career Ladder does not apply to people like me and is broken for most.

That belief inspired my book Learn Earn Own, which features the Assets Ladder to replace the Career Ladder. There is a second edition called The Assets Ladder, which has some bonus content for career professionals.

Both books offer practical tools like the LEAP Score, Career Assets Scorecard, and Career Assets Map to help people Learn More, Earn More, and Own More. Success today comes from building career assets: skills, collaborations, intellectual property, equity, and a personal brand that multiplies opportunities.
